Xiamen Shihlin Electrical Co., Ltd. was established in July 1995. This is a subsidiary of SHIHLIN ELECTRIC & ENGINEERING CORPORATION in Xiamen. This subsidiary is responsible for the manufacturing of low voltage electrical devices. At the initial stage of operations, this company leased the site of Xia Xing Motorcycles (Taiwan Sanyang Holdings Co., Ltd.) for production of motorcycle accessories. In May 1997, the company moved into its own permanent site --- Zi mei Plant. To meet market needs the company introduced the well-known brand in Taiwan, Shih Lin, selling low voltage electrical devices (plastic case circuit break and A/C connectors) to the market in 2000. It was followed by the establishment of branches or offices in Xiamen, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Guangzhou, and Zhongshan to serve the large number of Mainland customers.
The company built up its plant for phase II in April 2001 for business expansion and capacity expansion. In March 2002, the construction of the plant was completed and operations kicked off.
